Ductile Iron Pipe & Fittings for Coffs Harbour Council
Cadia’s solution for the Stadium Drive pipeline upgrade
Customer: Coffs Harbour Shire Council
Project: Stadium Drive
Scope: Supply and delivery of Ductile Iron Pipe and Fittings
Project snapshot
Coffs Harbour Shire Council has upgraded Stadium Drive just off the Pacific Highway. This upgrade project included sealing the road to ensure a non-skid surface, correcting and reshaping the crossfall on a horizontal curve, and installing new curve warning and speed advisory signs.
Part of this project also included removing redundant pipes and the installation of a new pressure watermain pipeline.
The challenges
To ensure the project specifications were met, Coffs Harbour Shire Council needed to engage a supply partner who could deliver the necessary materials on time and on budget.
Cadia’s Solution
Cadia was awarded the contract with Coffs Harbour Shire Council to supply and deliver ductile iron pipe, fittings and valves for the Stadium Drive Pipeline upgrade.
The project involved the delivery of 1.05km of 375mm ductile iron pipe. Coated in a sulphate resistant, portland cement mortar lining, Cadia’s ductile iron water pipes have a cold-applied black bituminous paint coating and are available in various lengths and diameters up to 600mm.
A range of high-quality fittings and valves were also supplied, offering a complete pipeline solution for this project.
