SIKAFLOOR® LEVEL TOP

Description

Sika Floor Level Top is an economical self levelling underlayment compound that can be laid 2mm to 30mm thick in one application. Sikafloor Level Top is a specialised formula designed to level uneven concrete substrates prior to the application of commercial and domestic flooring.

    • APPLICATION

    Surface Preparation:

    Concrete floors should be fully cured, structurally sound, 20Mpa +, clean, dry, and free of surface contaminates and dust. Concrete must accept water penetration. Contaminates that are present should be mechanically removed before installation. If the concrete substrate has efflorescence or high moisture (RH) and is above AS 1884 - 2012 standards, a moisture barrier system may be considered.

    Priming should be undertaken in accordance with the Technical Data Sheet.

    Mixing:

    Mix the entire 20kg bag of powder with 5.1 - 5.2 Litres of clean, cool water. Slowly add powder to the water while mixing with a high speed heavy duty electric drill and mixing paddle. Thoroughly mix for 2 to 3 minutes to a lumpfree consistency. Additional water will cause irregularities with mix and may result in product failure.

    Placement:

    Pour or Pump Sikafloor Level Top, then spread with a long handled gauged spreader to heights as required. Sikafloor Level Top will seek its own level during the first 15 minutes. For featheredging and touch-ups, use a flat steel trowel.

    After final set Sikafloor Level Top dries to a walkable hardness in approximately 3 - 5 hours at 23 degrees C. Allow 18 – 20 hours prior to the application of impervious floor coverings and wood flooring. Allow 10 - 12 hrs prior to the installation of tiles. All times are dependent on thickness of Level Top, temperature, air flow and relative humidity. Testing for moisture content before applying floorcoverings is recommended.

    Clean Up:

    Clean tools and equipment with warm water and detergent while the product is still wet.

    Storage:

    Unopened bags can be stored for up to 12 months in a cool, dry and weatherproof environment. Bags must be stored off the floor. Avoid sitting bags in direct sunlight prior to application.

    Yield:

    Neat: 20kg bag of Sikafloor Level Top mixed with 5L of water will cover 4m2 at 3mm thick, or equal 12L of product. Recommended build 2 – 30mm in one application. Bulking: 10kg of clean 1.5 - 3mm aggregates may be mixed with 20 kg of Sikafloor® Level Top. This mix ratio will cover 1m2 at 17 mm or equal 17L of product. Recommended build 10 - 50 mm in one application. Note: Do Not add additional water if using bulking aggregates.
