CLEAR PLASTIC PROTECTION

Description

Plastic protection film for carpets and floors whilst construction activities are being undertaken. This 100m roll of sticky carpet protector enables coverage throughout interiors when there is a risk of dust and debris damaging floors. This clear, tacky film is easy to roll out and does not require taping down. It is easy to apply against skirting boards or walls and stays in place, thereby reducing the risk of tripping. More effective than a drop sheet, it remains flat and protects against spills unlike a fabric drop sheet. This dust cover plastic film is an essential product for construction, building, repairs and interior fitout jobs.

  • Before using, the purchaser and/or user must determine suitability of this product for the intended use and the purchaser and/or user assumes all risk and liabilities in connection therewith.

As there are so many variations in carpet fibers and products used to prevent carpets from staining, it is imperative that the user of this product determine suitability. To determine suitability test Carpet Shield on a small portion of carpet that is in a non-exposed area. Leave Carpet Shield in place for at least 48 hours and then inspect to insure there was no disturbance to the carpet fibers.

Before applying Carpet Shield please carefully read the following important information:

  • Carpet Shield is for carpeted surfaces only, do not apply to any other surface or allow Carpet Shield to
overlap beyond the carpeted area or onto hard surfaces like wood or tile

  • Use only on completely dry carpeting. If carpeting was recently cleaned allow at least 24 hours for
carpeting to dry and cleaning agents to dissipat

  • For any newly installed carpeting do not use Carpet Shield 72 hours to allow adhesive vapors to
dissipate completely through the padding and the carpet

  • If subjected to extreme conditions of high temperature, direct sunlight, heavy foot traffic or outdoor
exposure, it is recommended that the Carpet Shield film be inspected and replaced with new material
    more frequently

  • Do not use in extreme humidity conditions or high moisture areas like basements

  • Use on synthetic fibers only. Not for use on oriental carpets

  • Carpet Shield is for temporary protection up to 45 days, REMOVE ON 45TH DAY or sooner

  • If Carpet Shield is exposed to temperature over 35°C, direct sunlight or outdoor exposure, product
should be inspected and replaced weekly

  • Easy application steps

Remove over wrap from the product and allocate the start of the film. Pull film off the roll slightly to determine the direction the film unwinds. Place film sticky side down on the carpeting, secure start of the roll by applying slight pressure and then push roll in the desired direction. Apply slight pressure over the top of the film as you roll out to the desired length and then cut with a utility knife or sharp edge. To remove simply lift film up at the edge and pull off.

    Product storage guidelines

For best performance store at room temperature and out of direct sunlight exposure. If Carpet Shield is stored in extreme conditions (over 35°C or below 4°C) allow product to return to room temperature prior to use.
