Expansion Joint / 10mm foam 150mm x 3Mtr ( incl. 1 x 4 pack 350mm peg & wedges)
Description
Connolly Key Joint can be used for forming expansion joints in continuous pour applications in addition to conventional end-of-pour situations. This expansion joint gains its strength from a rigid steel backing profile, with the expansion capability provided by closed cell foam adhered to the face of the metal profile.
This system provides a rigid and strong product that produces straight clean lines. The expansion joint is fixed in place with a peg and wedge fixing system, making installation fast and simple and providing accurate height adjustment. Unlike key joints with foam applied to one side of the product, this product produces a full depth straight joint. A purpose-built dowelling system eliminates any keyways in the joint and provides positive load transfer across the finished product.
Features and Benefits
Position expansion joint in desired location and drive in the supplied pegs.Adjust the expansion joint to the correct height and secure by tapping in the supplied wedges.Push dowels through the foam at the centre of the pre-punched holes in the metal profile and twist sleeve 900 to fix in place. Place reinforcement and pour concrete to both sides of the joint. Finish concrete surface to the top of the expansion joint (NOT OVER IT). Always pour concrete evenly to both sides of the joint and ensure concrete is compacted into the sides of the joint.
Ideal for any and all continuous pour applications where the need for expansion is required. Note that the 12mm sleeves can also be nailed to timber formwork for use at construction joints
