How do crow bars work?

A crow bar has two distinctive ends. The claw shaped end with its curved design, shaped to provide the greatest leverage. With a V shaped tongue for pulling nails, its built for demolition.

At the other a chiselled profile, suited prying items apart for example pulling up floorboards or opening creates.

The longer length of a demolition pry bar offer better leverage over a smaller claw hammer and reduces user fatigue on larger jobs.
